A little late for New Years but it's the Chinese New Year so that counts.

It's been sunny for eight days straight here, which is practically a heat wave. Usually it rains seven out of every ten days. So we've been desperately filling up on the outdoors.

I can't tell if this is a me thing or a publishing industry thing.

I just want that constant reminder.

The houses are smaller here. The stores are smaller, the towns are smaller. The robins and squirrels are smaller. The trucks are the same size, though.

In addition to my self-image struggles, I really struggle with my house. I moved from a house I adored. It was beautiful in so many ways. It was a 1920s old, sorta worn-out house with original plaster and cast-iron radiators and thick trim.
